Make a set

Make a "set"

Create a series of objects that share a similar aesthetic and function as a set.  This could be a pair of earrings, necklace and a bracelet.  It could be a chess set.  It could be drawer pulls.  Do research! Post images on your blog.  Go the hardware store and look at the drawer pulls. Look at serving sets or silver ware.  Find relationships between objects in your immediate environment.
The word aesthetic is defined as:
1. concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty.
2. a set of principles underlying and guiding the work of a particular artist or artistic movement.

How do you develop an aesthetic?
What can link objects together? Color? Size? Shape? Material?
How many objects would you define as a set?
Work with the material.  Find out how far you can push the material?  What can you cast in place.
Be careful.  Use your own tools.  Do not contaminate our files. Remember Pewter contaminates silver. Make your own sanding sticks.
Clean up after yourself.
